Yellow Jacket Athletic Hall of Fame Nomination Criteria

Anyone can nominate an individual or a team for consideration for the Yellow Jacket Athletic Hall of Fame.

1. Athletes considered must have been out of school (BHSU) for a minimum of ten years.
2. Athlete candidates are not required to have a college degree, but must meet criteria #3.
3. Athletes must have completed two years of athletic eligibility.
4. Eligible Black Hills State University coaches must have been retired from coaching for a minimum of five years.
5. Other coaching candidates (high school, college and professional levels) must have been out of school (BHSU) for a minimum of ten years.
6. No more than five individuals/corporations will be inducted per year. Recommendations include three athletes, one coach and one contributor, though this may vary.
7. Banquet attendance is required of all inductees in order for the presentation of the award.
