Box Score Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University
women's basketball team defeated Montana Tech 87-76 Saturday
afternoon at the Donald Young Center in Spearfish to improve to 4-2
on the season.
“We carried over the energy from last night's
win,” said head coach Mark Nore. “We played well
offensively and defensively for most of the game, we need to pull
down a few more rebounds but I'm very happy with how we went
out and competed.”
The Yellow Jackets were very efficient shooting the ball and
shot 57% from the field, 52% from the arc and 77% from the charity
stripe, led by junior Kristi Ryan who finished the contest with 25
points,connecting on six of nine attempts from behind the arc. Ryan
was one of three Yellow Jackets to score double digit points,
junior Keely Krowlikowski scored 21 points and senior Katelynn Lamb
finished the contest with 10 points.
Black Hills State will return to action Friday, November 19 as
they take on Montana State-Northern in Great Falls, Mont., game
time is scheduled for 5 p.m. MT
