Box Score Rapid City, S.D. – The Black Hills State University
women's basketball team defeated Johnson & Wales 87-65 on
Saturday afternoon at the US Bank Thanksgiving Classic in Rapid
City, S.D.
Junior Keely Krowlikowski had 21 points to lead the Yellow
Jackets in scoring. Senior Katelynn Lamb had 18 points and
junior Maggie O'Neill came off the bench to add 16
points.
“I thought did a lot of good things,” said head
coach Mark Nore. “We managed to put up 48 points in the
first half even thought we are still working on getting into a flow
offensively.”
Black Hills State shot over 51% in the game going 36-of-70 from
the field. The Yellow Jackets also outrebounded John &
Wales 56 to 33.
The Yellow Jackets will return to the hardwood on Wednesday for
their first conference battle of the season with rival S.D. School
of Mines. The game will take place in Rapid City and will
tip-off at 5:30 p.m. MT.
