Women's Basketball Falls To Minot State

Minot, N.D. - The Black Hills State University women's basketball team fell to Minot State 70-49 Friday evening in Minot, N.D.  With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 20-6 on the season and 10-3 in the Dakota Athletic Conference.

The Yellow Jackets were led in scoring by senior Katelynn Lamb who finished the contest with 16 points.  Black Hills State struggled shooting the ball making only 31% of their shots from the field and 29% from behind the arc.  The Yellow Jackets were never able to overcome an 18-7 start by Minot State.  They trailed 18-31 at halftime and could not chip away at the deficit.  Junior Kristi Ryan pulled down a team high five rebounds.

Black Hills State will return to action Saturday, February 19 as the team takes Dickinson State.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. MT and can be heard locally on KDSJ 980 AM or worldwide at www.kdsj980.com.
