Denver, Colo. - The Black Hills State University women's basketball team extended their win streak to three as they defeated Johnson and Wales by a score of 74 to 49 to improve to 8-11 on the season.

The Yellow Jackets started the game with a hot hand offensively as they took a 44-27 lead going into halftime. Black Hills State put up 30 points in the second half to defeat the Wildcats by a score of 74 to 49. The Yellow Jackets had 11 different players add to the scoring column and shot 45 % from the floor and 29% from behind the arc and 92% from the free throw line as a team.

Black Hills State was led by senior Kristi Ryan who scored 13 points and pulled in six rebounds. Ryan was one of four Yellow Jackets to net double digit points. Freshmen Bailey Kusser and Chelsey Biegler added 12 points and 11 points respectively and sophomore Jordan Kent added 10 points of her own.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action Saturday, February 4 as they square off against Northern New Mexico Eagles in again at the Wildcat Center. Tip-off is slated for 11:00 a.m. MT and can be heard locally on 980 AM KDSJ and world-wide at KDSJ980.com.
