COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – Black Hills State University guards Taylor Trohhkimoinen and Dakota Barrie were named to the First-Team RMAC All-Academic squad as announced by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tuesday afternoon.
Trohkimoinen, a sophomore from Newell, South Dakota, carries a 4.0 grade point average while majoring in Elementary Education.  Barrie, a senior from Mountain Home, Idaho, owns a 3.83 grade point average and majors in exercise science. 
Four other members of the Yellow Jackets were named members of the RMAC Academic Honor Roll. Seniors Logan Cowan and Bailey Kusser own a 3.63 and 3.36 grade point average, respectively.  Cowan and Kusser are both biology majors from Highmore, South Dakota.  Rounding out the honor roll are Gabby Haefs and Cassidy Kotelman.  Haefs is a sophomore from Rapid City, South Dakota and owns a 3.36 grade point average in Elementary Education.  Kotelman is a senior from Brookings, South Dakota and owns a 3.94 grade point average in biology. 
Dani Jacobs of Metro State University Denver was named 2014-15 RMAC Women's Basketball Academic Player of the Year. She carries a 3.97 grade point average in therapeutic recreation.
To be eligible, a student athlete must have a 3.30 GPA or better, be a starter or reserve, and have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution.
