THE GAME - Chadron State
  • The two teams meet for the second time this season on the hardwood in the home of the Eagles. BHSU leads the season series, 1-0.
  • Kalli Feddersen leads both the offense and defense for the Eagles. Feddersen averages 14.3 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game. Feddersen earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors back in January. Alongside Feddersen, Erin Graham averages 12.0 points per game and 2.9 assists.
  • Chadron currently sits in 12th place in the conference with a 6-14 RMAC record and 6-17 overall.
THE GAME - Regis University
  • The two teams meet on the hardwood floor for the second time this season. Last time the two teams met in the Young Center, the Rangers defeated the Yellow Jackets by eight points at 62-54.
  • Mary Sigler and Kaylie Rader lead the offense and defense for the Rangers. Sigler averages 13.5 points per game and Rader averages 7.3 rebounds per game. Rader was named to the Preseason All-RMAC Team with Taylor Trohkimoinen.
  • Regis has clinched a spot in the RMAC Tournament with a 14-6 conference record and 19-6 overall good enough for a fifth place in the standings.
THE COACHES
  • Black Hills State University head coach Mark Nore owns a 262-172 record over 15 seasons with the Yellow Jackets. He is the all-time wins leader for Yellow Jacket basketball.
  • Janet Raymer finishes her first season with the Eagles. She served as a coaching assistant aiding in the practices, scouting, in-game coaching, academics, fundraising and traveling. Raymer graduated from Chadron State where she lettered all four years and was named best defensive player and MVP by her teammates.
  • Molly Marrin entered her second season with the Rangers. Marrin led the Rangers to their fourth straight RMAC Tournment at the helm of her first season in 2015-16. Prior to Regis, Marrin served an assistant coach at the University of Denver. An alum from Regis, Marrin was a four-year letterwinner with the Rangers, earned First Team All-RMAC honors, and was twice named to the RMAC All-Tournament Team.
LAST TIME OUT
Black Hills State traveled to Colorado Mesa on Saturday, February 18 where it fell 73-51 to the Mavericks.

The Green and Gold shot 42.9 percent from the field and 61.9 percent from the line. They were able to hold the leading Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference scorer, Bryanna Adams, to just four points.

Cheyanne Balster led the offense scoring 13 points for the Yellow Jackets. Balster went 5-of-11 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line in 26 minutes of action. Kassidy Scott was right behind Balster with 12 points and three assists.

On the defense, Balster and Taylor Trohkimoinen grabbed five rebounds apiece.

PLAYOFF PICTURE
Black Hills State is in a three-way tie at eighth place with South Dakota Mines and Colorado Christian. The Yellow Jackets sit two points over CCU and one point over SD Mines. The Green and Gold control their own destiny with wins against Chadron and Regis, qualifies BHSU for the RMAC Tournament. If BHSU, SD Mines, and CCU split their weekend games, it goes into another tie-breaker.

60+ POINTS
When scoring over 60 plus points, Black Hills State is 5-2 overall and 3-0 on the road. The Yellow Jackets look to continue that streak at Colorado Mesa this weekend.
