Spearfish, SD – Yellow Jacket Basketball is back in action as the Green and Gold women head to Northern State for a Friday night show down. Action begins 5pm (MT) at the Wachs Arena.
The Yellow Jackets haven't seen Northern since 2016, when the wolves defeated the Yellow Jackets 56-40. The non-conference, in state rivals have history dating back to the DAC days. The Wolves lead the series 14-0.
The Green and Gold are on a 3-0 run to start the season. They are hot off a victory Wednesday night against MSU-Billings.
The Wolves are 1-1 to open their season. They defeated Rogers State, 71-64 in overtime, and fell to Central Missouri, 50-62. NSU is averaging 60.5 points per game shooting 50.5% from the field, 21.7% at 3-point range, and 70% from the foul line. Northern States offense is led by Jessi Marti as she has 26 total points scored and averages 13.0 per game.
