FB: Yellow Jackets to take on #11 Thunderwolves

A Tough Call: The Yellow Jackets kept the Mountaineers to 21-14 through three quarters of play last weekend.  The Green and Gold defense preformed admirably the first half, forcing the mountaineers to multiple three and out drives. Turnovers would prove costly in the second half with Western capitalizing on two interceptions. Despite this, BHSU kept within one score of Western midway into the 4th quarter when a late personal foul against the Yellow Jackets would turn the momentum in favor of the Mountaineers. Kieler Harpham led the offense with 182 yards on 19 completions good for two touchdowns.  The Yellow Jackets will take on CSU-Pueblo at noon in Pueblo, CO.

Last Meeting: The last time the Yellow Jackets matched up with CSU-Pueblo, the Thunderwolves came out on top with a 59-0 victory. BHSU defense stymied the Thunderwolves the first quarter holding them from scoring until late. Once Pueblo scored, their momentum was hard to stop and they lead 24-0 at half. Lathan Stevens recorded an interception and it looked the Yellow Jackets offense got the spark they needed, but ultimately Pueblos defense proved to much.

About Colorado State University Pueblo: The CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves are 8-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference. They are currently ranked 11th in the AFCA polls and 10th in the D2football polls. They are currently on a six game win streak having last lost to #14 CO Mines back in September. Pueblo is coming off a 21-13 win over Fort Lewis where they passed for 240 yards and two touchdowns. The Thunderwolves are currently third for most interceptions in D2 football and second for most yards returned on interceptions.

Series History: The Thunderwolves lead the series 7-0. In 2015, The Yellow Jackets came out with a 42-10 loss, the closet they have held Pueblo in the series.
