SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University track and field teams are sending a small contingency of athletes to compete at the Bison Open in Fargo, N.D., this weekend.
The Bison Open begins at 3 p.m. on Friday, with the pentathlon 60m hurdles and the men's weight throw. Running events start at 6:30 on Friday evening. On Saturday, the Bison Open resumes with the conclusion of the heptathlon at 10 a.m., with field events and running events starting at 1 p.m.
The rest of the squad will have the weekend off as they gear up for the SDSU Indoor Classic in two weeks. This meet is one of the largest track and field events in the Midwest. Last year, the SDSU Indoor Classic was streamed live on FloTrack and featured over 1500 athletes from 40+ schools.
