SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Black Hills State University track and field teams had a handful of student-athletes compete at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays this weekend.
Keith Osowski won the 3000m steeplechase in 9:17.97.
Jordan Theisen finished second in the 800m (1:51.62), while
Levi Fried was seventh and
Keegan Her Many Horses was 12th. Theisen's time was a provisional qualifying time.
In the 1500m, Jake Iverson was third and
Jordan Theisen was fourth. They were the top two Division II finishers.
Allan McDonnell won the triple jump, and was tied for eighth in the high jump.
In women's pole vault,
Jordyn Huneke was fifth, while
Whitney Scott was seventh and
Hannah Hendrick was ninth. Huneke and Scott both vaulted 3.90m (12'9.50"), which is a new school record and are also provisional qualfying marks. In the shot put,
Kyla Sawvell took second place.
In the 1500m,
Cailey Roth finished eighth and
Ruby Lindquist was 15th.
Tori Moore took fifth in the steeplechase. Roth was also second in the 800 meters, with Lindquist taking 11th.
The Yellow Jackets will compete in last chance meets May 12 in a final qualifying push for the NCAA Championships beginning May 23.
