SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University men's and women's cross country teams travel to the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational this weekend. The race, the 34th iteration, is hosted by the University of Minnesota.
The race on Saturday, September 28, will be held at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul, Minnesota. The gun for the Division II and III women's 6k race is due at 11:10 a.m., while the men's 8k will start at 12:10 p.m.
The Yellow Jackets are coming off the Fourth Annual Gage McSpadden Memorial. The men ran against alumni members, with former BHSU runner Alec Baldwin coming in first, just edging out senior Jordan Theisen. The women ran a time trial, with Xiomara Robinson coming in first.
Following this weekend in Minnesota, BHSU is next in action at the Roadrunner Invitational October 5. The race, hosted by MSU Denver, will be held in Denver, Colo.
