Spearfish, SD –  The Black Hills State University women's basketball team heads to Colorado this weekend for a pair of RMAC games. On Friday, they take on Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO at 5:00pm. They follow up Saturday against Regis University at 3:00pm in Denver, CO. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a heartbreaking loss after a late rally wasn't enough to overcome Colorado Mesa last weekend. The team is now 7-5 on the season and 4-3 in the RMAC.
 
Sitting seventh in the RMAC, the Yellow Jackets are led by Racquel Wientjes who is averaging 15.9 points per game, currently the seventh best in the league. Her 56 percent make rate from the field is fourth best in the conference while her 82 percent at the free throw line is fifth best. The team is averaging 64 points a game shooting 38 percent from the field, 29 percent from the three point line, and 71 percent at the charity stripe. They are allowing 58.3 points per game.
 
Scouting the Cougars (5-8, 5-2 RMAC)
 
CCU is on a four game win streak having last downed New Mexico Highlands 60-46 last weekend. They currently sit fifth in the RMAC standings. The team is shooting 40 percent from the field, 28 percent from beyond the arc, and 64 percent at the free throw line. They average about 59 points per game while allowing 65. #12 Sam Nunez will be the player to watch has she leads the offense with 13.3 points per game. Since 2012, the series has gone back and forth with CCU holding a slight advantage 7-6. In the last meet up, the Cougars came away with a 73-61 victory in Spearfish.
 
Scouting the Rangers (5-8, 3-4 RMAC)
 
The Rangers are currently 10^th in the league and are coming off a pair of weekend wins against New Mexico Highland and CSU-Pueblo. The team is shooting 37 percent from the field, 29 percent from the three point line, and 70 percent at the charity stripe. They average 64 points a game while allowing 65. The Green and Gold offense will have to look out for Whitney Jacob as she was just named the RMAC defensive player of the week. In their last matchup with the Yellow Jackets, they came away with a win 74-59 in Spearfish.
