Spearfish, SD - The Black Hills State University women's basketball team head down to Rapid City for a showdown to end the regular season. The Yellow Jackets have already clinched a spot in the RMAC tournament, but this game will still have playoff implications as BHSU and SDSMT are tied for fifth in the RMAC. Tip off is this Friday, February 28^th in Rapid City at 5:30 p.m. Last season, the Green and Gold went 1-1 with the Hardrockers. This year, they got the W at the beginning of the year and are looking for the sweep.
 
If the Yellow Jackets win this Friday, they are fifth outright. If they lose, and Dixie State loses, they are the sixth seed. In the worst case scenario of a Yellow Jacket loss and a Dixie Win, the Jackets will likely pull the seventh seed.
 
The Yellow Jackets are coming off another split weekend, with a win over fourth-seeded Colorado School of Mines but taking a one-point loss to University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. Morgan Ham led the Green and Gold, averaging 24 points per game while Racquel Wientjes averaged 17.5 PPG and Danica Kocer pulled down 6.5 rebounds per game on the weekend.
 
The team is led by junior Racquel Wientjes, averaging 16.8 points per conference game and 5.6 RPG. Junior Morgan Ham averages 15.3 PPG and 3 RPG while senior Abby Switzer puts up 5.9 PPG and pulls down 4.2 RPG. Switzer and sophomore Ashlee Beacom also add 2 assists per game.
 
South Dakota Mines
South Dakota Mines are coming off a 1-1 weekend, with a loss to University of Colorado-Colorado Springs but getting the win versus Colorado School of Mines. The Hardrockers have two players in double-digits. Ryan Weiss leads the team, averaging 17.4 points per conference game and 4.3 RPG. Anna Haugen also adds 11.1 PPG, 9.9 RPG and 2.8 APG.
