Colorado Springs, CO – Eight members of the Black Hills State University Women's basketball team have been named to the 2019-2020 RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll. This includes Racquel Wientjes, Ashlee Beacom, Ashley Davis, Katie Messler, Abby Switzer, Morgan Ham, Kassie Hoyer, and Alyssia Matinez.
 
Wientjes, the junior out of Odina, SD, is majoring in Business Administration. Starting all games this season, she is averaging 16.9 points a game with a 42.9 shooting percentage.
 
Beacom, a red shirt sophomore from Sioux Falls, SD, is Majoring in Biology. Also a season starter, she has put up 36 assists this season.
 
Ham, the redshirt-junior from Shadehill, SD, is majoring in Mass Communications. The season starter is averaging 14.7 points per game on a 42.8 percent shooting rate. She is also 72 percent at the line.
 
Switzer, a senior out of Casper WY, is majoring in Accounting & Finance. This season starter is shooting 83 percent at the free throw line and is currently pulling down 4.6 rebounds a game.
 
Messler, the junior from Sioux Falls, SD, is majoring in biology. Shaking up the lineup and starting about half the season, she is pulling down 5.1 rebounds per game.
 
Davis, a redshirt sophomore from Belcourt, ND, is majoring in Exercise Science. She has started six games this season but continues to have a big impact off the bench.
 
Kassie Hoyer, a junior from Belt, MT, is majoring in Secondary Math & Science Education. She has played in nine games this season.
 
Alyssia Matinez, the redshirt junior from Highlands Ranch, CO, is majoring in Business Administration. She is game changer from the bench good for 33.8 percent of her shots and 75 percent at the line.
