Megan Engesser. The Yellow Jackets would not let up on the gas for the rest of the contest holding the lead for 36 of 40 total regulation minutes.
Throughout the first half
Ashlee Beacom pushed the team stats recording three 3-pointers and 2 steals in the first two quarters of play. Going into the break the Yellow Jackets would hold a 35-42 lead.
Coming out of the half the Yellow Jackets would continue to play tough only allowing MSU Denver to put up 14 points in the 3
rd quarter. However, the Jackets would hit a lull in their shooting and only score 11 of their own points setting the score at 53-49 Jackets heading into the final 10 minutes of regulation.
Three steals for the Yellow Jackets compared to MSU Denver's zero and a plethora of free throws would give the Jackets everything they needed to walk away with the victory after scoring an additional 16 points in the 4
th quarter compared to the Roadrunners 12.
