Basketball Tips Off Season at Minot State

Black Hills State women's basketball is set to tip off its preseason on the road at Minot State playing Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. and Saturday night at 8 p.m.
 
The Yellow Jackets are the reigning RMAC Champions after finishing the 2020-21 season 14-9 overall and 12-8 in the RMAC.
 
Head coach Mark Nore heads into his 20th season as head coach of the Yellow Jackets. Throughout that time, Nore has coached over 500 games in route to a 332-212 career record including 271 games coached at the DII level and 273 games in the NAIA.
 
BHSU (0-0, 0-0 RMAC) vs Minot State (1-2, 0-0 NSIC)
The Beavers started the season November 5th at the D2CCA Tip Off at the Trailhead where they faced off against Montana State University Billings, Kutztown University, and Nova Southeastern University. Throughout the tournament the Beavers earned a 1-2 record with their lone win coming against Kutztown University where they won 72-67.
 
Minot State and Black Hills State have faced off 34 times in program history with BHSU holding 18 wins and 16 losses. The last time the Yellow Jackets faced off against the Beavers was February 10, 2012. It was the Yellow Jackets who were victories in that contest walking away with a 68-57 victory over the Beavers.
 
Last season the Beavers tallied four wins and ten losses throughout the season with a 4-8 conference record.
