:Black Hills State track and field competed at the Central Nebraska Challenge Saturday April 4.

The day was highlighted by the women's team taking third out of ten teams with 90 points and the men's team taking fifth out of eight teams with 44 points and junior
Keith Osowski provisionally quailfying for the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the steeplechase. Osowski finished his race in 9:13.26 and is currently ranked 12th in the nation.

Sprints
Breanne Fuller kept rolling this weekend recording two more first place finishes. She earned one in the 100m dash with a time of 12.10 and one in the 200m dash with a time of 25.19.

Hurdles
In the 400m hurdles the Yellow Jackets had two top five finishers with
Zoe Langseth finishing in 1:04.83 earning second and
Vanessa Clark crossing the finish line in 1:08.57 earning fourth-place.

Relays
BHSU's 4x100m relays both finished in the top five with women finishing in second and the men placing third. Running for the women's 4x100 was
Samantha Bates,
Mikayla Tracy,
Zoe Langseth, and
Breanne Fuller the women's team finished the race in 48.36. Running for the men's team was Nana Kwame Dwamena, Conor McGraw,
Seth Hills, and
Mason Sartain the men finished in 43.06. The women's 4x400m relay also found success finishing their race in 3:57.03 and coming across the finish line third. Running the women's 4x400 for BHSU was

Distance
Xiomara Robinson led the way in the women's 5000m run finishing in first place with a time of 17:51.13. Â
Taylor Lundquist recorded a fourth-place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:18.57.
Matthew Parker took second place in the men's 5000m run with a time of 15:08.40.
Keith Osowski again found success in the steeplechase coming in first with a time of 9:13.26.

Throws
Kyla Sawvell found success in shot put for the women with a throw of 14.70m (48' 2.75") earning first place. For the men
Sully Mack recorded a throw of 47.23m (154'11") in the discus earning third.

Jumps/Vault
Hannah Hendrick recorded another first-place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 3.77m (12' 4.5") in competition on Saturday. In the triple jump
Samantha Bates recorded a jump of 10.83m (35'6.5") which earned her a fifth-place finish. For the men Nana Kwame Dwamena jumped 6.53m (21' 5.25") in the long jump which earned him fifth.
