COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hills State football was picked to finish ninth in the RMAC in the 2021 Preseason Poll, released by the league Wednesday morning.
In 2019, the Yellow Jackets finished 3-8, with victories against Fort Lewis, South Dakota Mines and Azusa Pacific. BHSU played only two games last year in the pandemic-shortened season.
Heading into the 2021 season, the football squad returns 66 student-athletes and welcomes 47 newcomers.
Colorado Mines was picked to finish first with 76 points and seven first-place votes. CSU Pueblo was picked second with 70 points and two first-place votes while Chadron State was picked third with 62 points.
Adams State tallied one first-place vote despite being picked seventh with 34 points.
