Black Hills State track and field will be hosting the Myrle Hanson Open to begin competition in 2022.
 
The Myrle Hanson Open is set to take place Saturday, January 15 starting with field events at 11:00 a.m. with men's weight throw set to start things off.
 
Running events are set to begin at 1:00 p.m. on a rolling schedule starting with the women's mile.
 
BHSU track and field is excited to be hosting high schools at this competition as well with high school events being ran between college events on the track. High school events are denoted in red italics below.
 
The Yellow Jackets opened the 2021-22 indoor season at home hosting the Yellow Jacket Holiday Open where the team had two provisional marks earned with Kyla Sawvell earning provisional marks in both the women's shot put and weight throw. The women placed first out of competing teams and the men placed third at the Holiday Open.
 
The Yellow Jackets look to carry that success into the new year at the Myrle Hanson Open.
