Black Hills State women's basketball will take on Colorado Mesa University Monday, January 24 at 4:00 p.m.
 
The Yellow Jackets and Mavericks were originally set to face off January 8 but due to COVID protocols the game was postponed.
 
The Yellow Jackets (9-7, 7-3 RMAC) are coming off a weekend sweep where they defeated both the Chadron Eagles and the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers at home in the Donald E. Young Center.
 
BHSU came off a two-week hiatus and defeated the Eagles 57-45 before taking on their rivals in the Hardrockers and winning 69-55.
 
The Mavericks are coming off a weekend split after taking on #13 Colorado School of Mines on Friday and Regis University on Saturday.
 
Colorado Mesa fell to Colorado Mines in a close low scoring contest falling 59-51 before taking on Regis University and winning 75-61.
 
The Yellow Jackets and Mavericks have faced off 19 times in program history with Colorado Mesa holding an edge over the Yellow Jackets winning 13 of those 19 matchups.
 
The last time the Yellow Jackets and Mavericks faced off was a close competitive contest in which the Yellow Jackets forced overtime on an Engesser 3. Ultimately, BHSU fell to CMU after being outscored 13-7 in overtime.
 
Admission to Monday's game will be free to the public.
