Black Hills State track and field has released their 2022 outdoor track and field schedule.
 
The Yellow Jackets outdoor schedule features one home meet and seven road meets prior to BHSU hosting the 2022 Outdoor RMAC Championships April 29 – May 1.
 
The team will then have the opportunity to attend two last chance meets after the RMAC Championships before the NCAA DII Outdoor National Championships which will be held in Allendale, Michigan May 26-28.
 
BHSU will open the season at home competing in the Yellow Jacket Spring Open/Multi which will take place March 25-26.
 
Next the Yellow Jackets will hit the road as they travel to Billings, Mont. for the MSUB Open April 2 and Rapid City, S.D. for the Bauer Invitational April 9.
 
The following weekend will feature a multitude of events for the Yellow Jacket track and field teams as select athletes will head to California to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays (April 14-16), the Long Beach Invitational (April 14-16), and the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 15), while the rest of the team competes at the Blue Hawk Open in Dickinson, N.D. on April 16.
 
The team will then compete in full force on the road in the Kit Meyer Open in Golden, Colo. on April 23 prior to hosting the 2022 RMAC Championships April 29 - May 1.
 
The Yellow Jackets will then have the chance to compete in two last chance meets over the weekends of May 6-7 and 13-14 prior to competing at the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
