After a record-breaking weekend away the Yellow Jacket track and field teams are set to compete in the Stinger Open at home in the Donald E Young Center Field House in their last track meet before the RMAC Championships.

BHSU's track and field teams are coming off a road stretch that saw three school records broken and four national qualifying marks hit.

Black Hills State's Sophomore
Ruby Lindquist broke school records in the 3000m run and the mile while
Xiomara Robinson broke the school record in the 5000m run last weekend in Kansas.

Keith Osowski bested his provisional mark in the mile run twice,
Kyla Sawvell earned provisional marks in the shot and weight throw with her shot being an improvement, and
Hannah Hendrick bested her provisional mark in the pole vault with a personal best jump of 3.90m.

The Yellow Jackets will be hosting Chadron State, Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain College, South Dakota Mines, and UMary this weekend at the Stinger Open.

Competition is set to open Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. with the men's weight throw followed by the women. The distance medley relay will kick things off on the track on Friday at 5:30 p.m. with the 5000m run rounding out Friday's slate.

Saturday field events get underway at noon with the women's shot put, high jump, and long jump and the men's pole vault. Running event begin at 1 p.m. with the 4x800m relay.
