Black Hills State vs South Dakota Mines

The Hardrockers are 4-20 overall and 4-14 in RMAC play so far this season and are on a one game winning streak after defeating Colorado Christian University 69-54 on their home court. Prior to that victory the Hardrockers had lost three straight games against Westminster, Colorado Mesa, and MSU Denver.

Earlier this season the Yellow Jackets defeated South Dakota Mines 69-55 in the Donald E Young Center in front of the largest home crowd of the season. Senior Ashley Davis scored a career-high 21 points in that contest while Haylee Weathersby and Danica Kocer also scored in double figures. As a team the Yellow Jacket defense was dominant on the court forcing 19 turnovers, grabbing 13 steals, and tallying 14 points off turnovers.

The Yellow Jackets have played the Hardrockers 38 times in program history with the Yellow Jackets having won 25 of those matchups. BHSU has had a harder time beating South Dakota Mines on their home court having won 11 of 18 road games compared to 14 of 20 home games. Last season the Hardrockers were able to defeat the Yellow Jackets both times they faced off; however, this year the Yellow Jackets have the lone contest the two teams have played thus far.
