Black Hills State track and field is headed North to compete at the YellowJacket / Battlin' Bears Open in Lockwood, Montana Saturday, April 2.
 
The Yellow Jackets kicked off the outdoor season competing at home in the Yellow Jacket Spring Open where the team saw 10 first place finishes and two provisional marks set.
 
Now the team heads to Lockwood, Mont. to compete in a one-day meet where the teams look to build off of their early success from opening weekend. Competition is set to begin Saturday with the hammer throw at 11:00 a.m. before the rest of the field events kick off at 2:00 p.m. Events on the track begin at 4:00 p.m. with the women's 4x100m relay.
