Black Hills State football will begin its 2022 RMAC schedule on Saturday as the team heads south to take on Chadron State.
BHSU is coming off a non-conference schedule that saw them go 2-0 with wins over Dickinson State, 17-2, in week one, and over William Jewell, 38-19, last weekend.
The Yellow Jackets currently sit first among RMAC teams, allowing only 10.5 points per game. The BHSU defense has surrendered only two touchdowns and two field goal up to this point in the season.
Chadron State (0-2, 0-0 RMAC)
The Eagles are 0-2 so far in 2022 after falling to No. 7 Angelo State, 35-0, in week one, and then dropping their week two matchup to Utah Tech (Formerly Dixie State), 56-10.
This will be CSC's first home game of the year as they open RMAC play, after last season going 6-5 overall, 5-4 in league play, and 3-2 at home.
Series History
Chadron State is the second-most played opponent in BHSU football program history. CSC leads the series, 60-15-2, with the Eagles taking the last four meetings.
League Leaders
Offensively, the squad ranks fourth with an average score of 27.5 per game, having scored seven touchdowns and two field goals.
Nolan Susel leads the RMAC with seven total touchdowns this season, as well as total rushing yards (186) and rushing yards per game (93).
Receiving,
Hasaan Williams hast the most receptions in the league with 17, and is third in the RMAC with 212 total receiving yards and 106 receiving yards per game.
Defensively, the Yellow Jackets have two of the top-3 in the RMAC among passes defended. Lovenski ranks second with four broken up passes this season, and
Deunte Moody is third with three.
