COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hill State University track and field's Sulley Mack has been named the RMAC's Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
At the Myrle Hanson Open, which the Yellow Jackets hosted last Saturday, Jan. 14, Mack competed in the weight throw event and placed second in the finals after having a 16.90m throw, which was only 0.15m short of his personal best mark of 17.05m. The senior hit that throw at last season's RMAC Indoor Track and Field championship.
This is the first time Mack has been awarded the honor in his career, with the senior coming off a season where he was named to All-RMAC second team for the weight throw.
