COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the 2023-24 Head Coaches' Preseason Poll on Monday morning, which picked Black Hills State men's indoor track and field to finish eighth in the conference in the upcoming 2023-24 season.
The Yellow Jackets raked in 61 total points in the preseason poll, coming in over Colorado Christian (58), MSU Denver (57), South Dakota Mines (43), Fort Lewis (30), and Westminster (19), respectively. The top three teams in the poll were UC-Colorado Springs (135 points, 11 first-place votes), Adams State (120 points, two first-place votes), and Colorado Mines (116 points).
BHSU will see 10 returning athletes compete for the men's track and field teams this season while welcoming 14 freshman and two transfer students to the roster.
Indoor track and field action will kick off on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. as BHSU will host the 2023 Yellow Jacket Holiday Open at the Donald E. Young Center Fieldhouse.
