ALAMOSA, Colo. – Black Hills State track and field hit the deck on Friday for the RMAC Conference Championship meet at the Adams State Indoor Bubble, where
Breanne Fuller and
Trinity Brady advanced to the finals in their respective events, meaning they will compete in the finals on day two, which is Saturday, Feb. 25
th.
BHSU also had ten personal best performances on Friday which included two from the women and eight from the men during Friday's competitions.
Fuller clocked a provisional qualifying time of 7.65 to place fifth in the 60m dash. She also landed in fourth in the 200m dash, hitting a 25.08 mark to qualify for day two's finals. The women's 60m dash finals are slated for a 12:20 p.m. start while the 200m dash for the women is set for 2:20 p.m.
Brady competed in the men's 400m dash where he recorded a personal best, 50.42 dash time to place eighth, qualifying him to compete in Saturday's final in the 400m which is slated for 1:20 p.m.

Sully Mack also had a successful day as his fifth-place weight throw of 18.31m landed a provisional qualifying mark for the senior as well as a new personal best mark, crushing his previous by over half a meter. Over in the women's shot put,
Makayla Friederich threw a personal best in the preliminary throw (12.46m) to qualify for finals, where she bested that throw with a 12.55m launch for eighth place.
In the men's pole vault, 2023 Summit Award Winner
Ryan Foy recorded another personal best pole vault of 4.35m to place seventh in Alamosa, while
Dawson Lindeen posted a 4.20m vault that landed him a new season high performance and a spot in ninth. On the women's side of the pole vault,
Erin Weibel completed a personal best 3.38m vault to place 12
th.
Conor McGraw and
Dawson Lindeen are competing in the men's heptathlon, with both men standing in seventh and 11
th, respectively, after day one. McGraw held strong performances in the heptathlon shot put and high jump, putting up personal best marks in each event (12.27m shot put, 1.77m high jump).
Lindeen complimented his teammate with strong performances in the 60m dash and long jump, posting personal bests in those events (7.41 60m dash, 6.19 long jump). Both men finished the day with 2,531 points and 2,224 points, respectively.
McGraw and Lindeen will finish their outing in the men's heptathlon at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, starting with the 60m hurdles. To review the schedule for Saturday's events, visit the RMAC Championship page
