COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hills State is pleased to announce that senior thrower
Sully Mack has been named to the All-RMAC Second Team, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Mack saw countless progression this season in the men's weight throws. The Watertown, South Dakota native started the season with a 17.42m throw at the Yellow Jacket Holiday Open in December before recording a 16.90m throw at the Myrle Hanson Open in January, which got him RMAC Field Athlete of the Week honors. At the David Little Alumni Mile, however, a 17.77m throw gave Mack a first place finish and a new personal best.
The senior did not slow down as he lugged a huge 17.94m throw at the SDSU Indoor Classic, which was only 4cm short of a provisional mark at the time. Saving his best for the RMAC Championships, Mack hit a provisional distance of 18.31m, placing top-five at the conference meet and crushing his SDSU Indoor throw by over half a meter.
