Conor McGraw Adds Two Personal Bests at CSU Pueblo Open

PUEBLO, Colo. – Black Hills State track and field completed competition at the CSU Pueblo Open Invitational this past weekend and secured multiple top-five finishes and a pair of personal bests in the outing.
 
MEN
 
Distance
In the men's 400m dash, Conor McGraw cracked one of two personal records on the weekend with a 51.02 personal best time in his performance while Tim Brown represented the Yellow Jackets in the men's 3000m steeplechase with a fifth-place performance of 9:41.97.
 
Jumps/Vaults
Ryan Foy was a top-five athlete for BHSU as he landed in fifth during his pole vault performance after he cleared a 4.40m.
 
Throws
Two Yellow Jackets landed in the top ten placements in the discus throw: Sully Mack lugged a 45.48m discus throw to place eighth while Conor McGraw landed his second personal best of the day with a 44.10m toss landing him in tenth out of 30 other throwers.
 
Mack landed another top-five mark with his 54.87m javelin throw while landing in 12th in the men's hammer throw with a 48.31m mark.
 
WOMEN
 
Sprints/Hurdles
Breanne Fuller, who had a historic indoor season, continued putting up torching numbers in her respective events after running a 12.04 in the women's 100m dash for fifth. In the women's 200m, Fuller received a sixth-place finish with a 25.13 dash time while Kendall Tietjen pushed herself into the top five of the women's 400m hurdles with a 1:06.64 finishing time.
 
Distance
In the women's 400m run, Mikayla Tracy landed in the top ten after clocking a 58.84 time in the competition. Senior runner Xiomara Robinson competed in the women's 1500m run and posted another top-ten performance for the Yellow Jackets with a 4:42.43 timestamp.
 
Robinson also placed on the top three in the women's 5k with a 17:57.12 performance while teammate Sylvia Brown was right behind her in fourth, running a 17:57.43 5k.
 
Throws
Two Yellow Jackets made it into the top ten of the women's shot put as Makayla Friederich threw a 12.28m shot put to land fourth while Hanah Sullivan lugged herself into sixth with a 12.14m throw.
 
Up Next
The Yellow Jackets will head to Vermillion, South Dakota next weekend for the USD Early Bird meet on Friday, April 7, and Saturday, April 8.
