Two Yellow Jackets Advance to Finals on Day One of RMAC Championships

CHADRON, Neb. – Black Hills State track and field kicked off their appearance in the RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday morning and afternoon at Chadron State and finished the day with two runners advancing to the finals on day two.
 
Breanne Fuller, who competed for the women in the 100m dash on Friday timed an 11.92-second dash for third place in the preliminaries, moving on to compete in the finals on Sunday.  
 
On the men's side, distance runner Tim Brown ran in the 1500m run, with his 4:01.18 punching his ticket for the 1500m finals on Sunday.
 
In the men's decathlon, senior Conor McGraw currently sits in the top five with 3,305 points and is in fourth. In Friday's portion of the decathlon, McGraw held solid performances in the 100m dash (11.34), shot put (12.21m), and 400m dash (51.05), all of which saw him land in the top three.
 
Up Next
The Yellow Jackets will return to the track on Saturday, April 29 as the decathlon and heptathlon events will kick off day two of the RMAC Outdoor Championships at 9:15 a.m. Field events are slated to start in the afternoon at 2 p.m. with women's discus leading them off.
