VERMILLION, S.D. – Black Hills State track and field has its sights set on the University of South Dakota this weekend as the Yellow Jackets will be competing in the Division I school's USD Early Bird meet this Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8.
 
The Yellow Jacket track and field athletes recently concluded a competitive weekend at the CSU Pueblo Open Invitational last week and saw multiple athletes land themselves in top-five finishes. Senior Conor McGraw was hot on the start of the BHSU season as he recorded personal best marks in the men's 400m dash and the men's discus.
 
The competition this weekend will see nearly 30 programs competing at the two-day meet that include North Dakota State, Omaha, South Dakota State, Augustana, Bellevue, Briar Cliff, Buena Vista, Concordia-Moorhead, Dakota State, Dakota Wesleyan, Dordt, Iowa Central CC, Jamestown, Mary, Midland, Minnesota State, Minot State, Morningside, MSU Moorhead, Northwestern (Iowa), Sioux Falls, South Dakota Mines, Southwest Minnesota State, St. Cloud State, Valley City State, Waldorf, and Wayne.
