Black Hills State Set to Host the Dave Little Alumni Mile

BHSU welcomes alumni back to campus for the alumni mile on Saturday

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University track and field teams will compete at their third home meet of the season this weekend when they host the Dave Little Alumni Mile on Friday and Saturday, January 26-27 inside the Donald E. Young Center Fieldhouse.

JACKETS TO NOTE
Coming off his first-career Yellow Jacket of the Week honor and clearing 4+ meters for the first time, freshman Lane Longbrake (Belle Fourche, S.D.) looks to continue his upward trajectory this weekend back in the Young Center Fieldhouse. Dawson Lindeen (So., Huntley, Mont.) and Erin Weibel (So., Casper, Wyo.) will both be making their season debuts this weekend in the pole vault.
 
Sophie Curtis (Sr., Bettendorf, Iowa) comes into the Dave Little Alumni Meet after back-to-back weekends of personal bests in the 60m hurdles, competing in the event again this weekend.
 
Brett Glaser (Gr., Glasgow, Mont.) will participate in the heptathlon this weekend for the Yellow Jackets.  
 
Sitting inside the NCAA Division II top-50, Sully Mack (Gr., Watertown, S.D.) will again participate in the weight throw after a fifth-place finish and a season-best 17.76 throw last week at the Jim Emmerich Invite in Brookings.
 
USTFCCCA RANKINGS
In the first edition of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (UFTFCCCA), the Yellow Jacket men's squad checks in at No. 17 in the South Central Region and the women in at No. 20 in the region.
