COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the week eight RMAC Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon, recognizing Black Hills State University's
Nicc Quinones for his defensive efforts in a win over Chadron State. The accolade marks the second career RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the redshirt senior safety, and the first weekly conference honor for the Yellow Jacket football team this fall.

- Recorded a game-high ten tackles in Black Hills State's 21-18 victory over Chadron State on Saturday, while adding an interception and a pass break-up.
- His fourth interception of the season, which leads the Yellow Jackets and is tied for the RMAC lead, could not have come at a better time against the Eagles as the pick with 3:21 remaining in the game halted a CSC drive as they looked to run out the clock. The interception then set up the Yellow Jacket offense at the BHSU 48-yard line for a game winning touchdown drive in the closing minutes.
- Saturday was his second double digit tackle performance of the season, and it was his fifth game with six or more tackles.
