SPEARFISH, S.D. – D2Footbll announced their week five national players of the week on Monday and recognized Black Hills State University junior kicker,
Ryan Ewing, as the Special Teams Player of the Week. He was the spark for the Yellow Jackets in their 22-20 victory over South Dakota Mines in the 139
th Black Hills Brawl, putting the first points of the game on the board for BHSU with a school record 58-yard field goal as time expired in the first half. He made it 2-for-2 from 45+ yards in the contest as his 48-yard attempt split the uprights to give Black Hills State their first lead of the game in the third quarter, and his final made field goal from 22-yards out gave the Yellow Jackets the lead for good in the fourth quarter.

- Connected on 3-of-4 field goals and 1-of-2 extra point attempts, tallying ten points in Black Hills State's 22-20 victory over South Dakota Mines in the 139th Black Hills Brawl.

- His 58-yard field goal was a school record for the longest made field goal in program history and is the second-longest made field goal in NCAA Division II this season.
