Yellow Jackets Set to Welcome UCCS, Regis to A2 Arena

BHSU enters the weekend winners of eight of their last 10 games

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team (14-6, 11-5 RMAC) returns to A2 Arena this weekend for the second to last time in the regular season with the second meetings against the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (16-7, 13-4 RMAC) and Regis University (18-5, 13-4 RMAC) as the jostling for Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) tournament seeds continues.

ELLIE MOORE STEPS UP IN DENVER
  • Graduate forward Ellie Moore was instrumental in the pair of road win last week.
  • She put up a total of 24 points, 13 rebounds, and was 8-for-8 from the free throw line; earning her Female Yellow Jacket of the Week honors.
  • She tied her season-high with 14 points against Colorado Mines.
  • Moore now has eight double-digit scoring games this season.
  • With her perfect mark from the charity strike, she brings her season average above 80 percent (80.4%).
LAST TIME OUT
  • Black Hills State picked up a pair of wins in the Denver metro area, including a win over No. 14/15 Colorado Mines.
  • On Saturday, the Yellow Jackets completed the season sweep of MSU Denver with a 71-60 win over the Roadrunners, led by 16 points from Kalla Bertram.
  • Four Jackets notched double digits in the win over MSU Denver.
SERIES HISTORY – UCCS
  • The Mountain Lions lead the all-time series, 12-11 after the win earlier this season.
