SPEARFISH, S.D. – In a busy two days of the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships inside the Donald E. Young Center Field House, hosted by Black Hills State, saw the Yellow Jackets bring home five All-Conference honorees.
Brett Glaser highlighted the Championships for BHSU, winning the Heptathlon.
A stellar two-day performance from the Glaser (Gr., Glasgow, Mont.) culminated in him taking the league title in the Heptathlon with 5,153 points. He set personal bests in the 60m (7.17), long jump (6.92m), and high jump (1.88m). His heptathlon score itself is also a new personal-best for the Glasgow, Montana native. Glaser was one of two competitors in the event to notch 5,000+ points. The conference title in the event also earns him First Team All-Conference honors.
"I am incredibly proud of this young man. He dominated the opportunity and rose to the occasion! Not only winning a conference title but placing himself inside the top-15 in the country," noted head track and field coach
Austin Billings. "He has worked tirelessly to perfect his events and proved that he has even more in the tank for outdoor. The sky is the limit for Brett and I can't wait to see him climb to even higher heights!"
Entering the NCAA Championships weekend, Glaser slides up to No. 15 in the Heptathlon in Division II. If he will earn a trip to Pittsburg, Kansas will be announced in the coming days.
