COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Coming off his Heptathlon title at the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships, graduate
Brett Glaser has been named to the Indoor Track and Field All-Academic First Team for his work in the classroom.
Glaser (Gr., Glasgow, Mont.) tallied 5,153 points at the RMAC Indoor Championships as he took home the title in the Heptathlon this season. He finished the indoor season at No. 15 in NCAA Division II.
"Brett is invaluable to this program in more than one way. For all the hard work he puts in on the track, he couples it with academic excellence. Brett understands that academic and athletic success go hand in hand," commented head track and field coach
Austin Billings. "In addition to his success on campus, he has taken large strides to set up his future. He has begun making fruitful connections to set up professional success once he finishes at BH. I'm extremely proud of all the hard work he has put in and cannot wait to see him grow after his collegiate career."
In the classroom, he's working on his master's degree in the Black Hills State Master of Science in Strategic Leadership program, currently holding a 4.0 GPA in the program.
To be considered for the All-Academic First Team includes a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or better and combined with performances throughout the season.
Across the league, Colorado Mesa's Justin Thompson (jumps) was named the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Academic Athlete of the Year. The full list of honorees can be found linked in the RMAC list above.
