AZUSA, Calif. – Select Black Hills State University track and field athletes competed at the Azusa Pacific Fransen Last Chance & Multis meet back in California. The strong showings for
Brett Glaser continue in the state of California, breaking his own school record in the decathlon.
The meet was highlighted by Glaser (Gr., Glasgow, Mont.) who shattered his own school record in the decathlon, set also in Azusa back during the Bryan Clay Invite in April. This past weekend he became the first-ever Yellow Jacket to score 7,000+ points in the event with 7,023 points. He enters the NCAA Division II Championships week sitting No. 14 in Division II in the event.
Following Glaser,
Tim Brown (Jr., Sheridan, Wyo.) ran an 8:51.92 in the 3000-meter steeplechase out west, which now sits No. 3 all-time in program history in the event. Meanwhile, entering the NCAA Championships, he sits No. 10 in all of Division II.
Sylvia Brown (Jr., Sheridan, Wyo.) hit the provisional mark in the women's 10,000-meter run, a time that now sits No. 2 all-time in BH history. The time from this weekend is only bested by her personal-best – and school record – time of 35:32.14 set last year.
