GAME DETAILS
Date & Time: February 15th at 1 PM

BLACK HILLS STATE STORYLINES:
•    Black Hills State enters this game versus Colorado School of Mines ranked tied for second in the RMAC at a 14-8 (10-5 RMAC) record. They are coming off of a battle versus CSM. In that game, the Yellow Jackets allowed a buzzer-beater by Jade Leon to lose the game 51-49 and drop them from a tie for second in to solo third place in the RMAC.
•    The Yellow Jackets had one of the worst three-point shooting games in school history. BHSU went 0-8 from the three-point line, which is the first time in the school's D2 history that they did not make a single three in the game. This combined with a rough 40 percent from the field led to BHSU having only their second game this season with less than 50 points.
•    The crucial part of the game that hurt BHSU was the turnovers. BHSU, who had been one of the best teams all season in avoiding turnovers, had 21 versus Colorado School of Mines, which was the most BHSU has given up in RMAC play, and the second most this season only behind the 23 given up in the season opener versus West Texas A&M. All six of the main rotation players for the Yellow Jackets had multiple turnovers.
•    The 10 double-doubles BHSU has this year is the most in BHSU's D2 history, the four different players with at least one is also the most in team history and the three players with multiple double-doubles is once again the most in team history. Currently, Kalla Bertram, Haylee Weathersby, and Bradie Schlabs each have three, while Morgan Hammerbeck has one.
•    Black Hills State is ranked third of four RMAC schools in D2CSC South Central Regional Media Poll, appearing for the 12th consecutive week as they moved up the rankings to 7th and now sit just above CSU Pueblo.
•    Black Hills State had been picked to finish ninth in the RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, receiving 94 points in the vote among head coaches. They are currently tied for second in the conference standings after ten wins in 15 games to begin RMAC schedule.
•    Through the first 21 games of the season BHSU is averaging 63.6 points, 38.3 rebounds, 12.8 assists, 6.2 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game, while shooting the ball 41.7 percent from the field, 28.3 percent from 3-point range, and 68.5 percent from the free throw line. Their opponents are averaging 58.5 points, 31.6 rebounds, 9.6 assists, 6.5 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game, while shooting the ball 38.4 percent from the field, 34.0 percent from 3-point range, and 75.0 percent from the free throw line.
•    The Yellow Jackets currently rank fifth in NCAA Division II in fewest turnovers per game (12.6), eighth in fewest fouls per game (13.1), and 29th in assist/turnover ratio (1.01). In the win over UCCS, BHSU had 21 turnovers, 12 fouls, and a .38 a/t ratio, which is, by far, the worst of the year.
•    Leading four players in double figures scoring for Black Hills State is Kalla Bertram who is one of the top scorers and rebounders in the conference, ranking 12th in points per game (13.8) and 11th in rebounds per game (6.9). Additionally, Bertram adds 1.5 steals per game and 2.2 assists per game. She has been efficient shooting the ball as she ranks ninth in the RMAC in field goal percentage, knocking down 113-of-263 shot attempts (43.0%), and has scored in double figures in 17 of the 22 games this year. She has notched three double doubles this season against Lubbock Christian (17 points, 11 rebounds), Chadron State (19 points, 11 rebounds), and CSU Pueblo (17 points, 10 rebounds). She has reached her season-high mark in steals on three different occasions and has recorded multiple steals in 15 games. Bertram is coming off a 15-point, eight-rebound performance versus CSM, where she added two steals on 6/13 (46.2%) shooting.
•     Haylee Weathersby, who is second on the team in scoring with 13.2 points and adds 6.5 rebounds per game. She currently ranks third in the RMAC in field goal percentage and 31st in the country, knocking down 113-of-210 (53.8%) shot attempts this year. She has reached double figures and has scored 12 or more points in 14 of 22 games this year in addition to grabbing five or more boards in 18 contests including eight or more in each of the last three games. She is now at three double-doubles this season against Chadron State (14 points, 10 rebounds), Colorado Christian (29 points, 10 rebounds), and UCCS (15 points, 10 rebounds). She is coming off a team leading 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and a steal versus the Orediggers. She shot 8-13 from the field and 3-3 from the free throw line.
•    The lone freshman in the starting lineup for each of the first 22 games this year has been Bradie Schlabs is averaging 12.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. She has scored in double figures in 15 games, including a season-high of 24 points versus CSU Pueblo. She has now had 11 of her last 13 games with double-digits and eight of her last 12 with 13 or more points. She has secured four or more boards on 19 occasions, including 17 of the last 18 games. Schlabs has dished out four or more assists in 15 games, ten of the last 15, and has tallied a steal in 19 of 22 games this year. She ranks third in the RMAC in assists (86), assists per game (4.1), and assist/turnover ratio (1.52), while also ranking 56th, 39th, and 57th nationally in NCAA Division II in the respective categories. Schlabs is a one-time RMAC Offensive Player of the Week winner (2-10-25), but is coming off one of her worst games of the season, where she had nine points, six rebounds, but only one assist, no steals, and a career high six turnovers.
•    Morgan Hammerbeck is another player to keep an eye on. She is averaging 11.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. She is shooting the ball 42.4 percent from the field, 33.9percent on 3-pointers, and 79.6 percent of free throws. She currently ranks seventh in the RMAC in total 3-pointers made (39) and in 3-pointers per game (1.86). Hammerbeck has one double-double this season coming against South Dakota Mines (18 points, 12 rebounds), and is coming off her worst game of RMAC play with two points, five rebounds, and two assists on 1-5 shooting and 0-2 from behind the arc.
•    Yellow Jacket alumna Rachel Erickson is in her first season as the head coach at Black Hills State, guiding BHSU to a 14-8 record thus far.

They are coming off a 66-63 win over South Dakota Mines, where they erased an 18-point deficit, and a 15-point late third quarter deficit that ended with an Erin Fry layup dagger. It was Regis' third win in its last four games.
•    Regis' Head Coach Molly Marrin is in the middle of her 10th season with the Rangers. She has a combined record of 166-113. She has made it to the NCAA Tournament two times in a row and is coming off back-to-back seasons with tournament appearances. •    One of the main issues for Regis has been their defense. They boast the RMAC's worst scoring defense and one of the worst field-goal percentage defenses. •    Athena Saragoza is tied with Fry at 18.0 points per game, which means she is tied for fifth in the RMAC. She is also third in the RMAC in field goal attempts with 379. She is averaging 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists, while shooting 39.8 percent from the field and 35.2 percent from behind the arc.
