SPEARFISH, S.D.- The Yellow Jackets have now won two in a row after dominating CSU Pueblo last night in the 62-48 win. The 13-7 (9-4 RMAC) Yellow Jackets, who sit in a tie for second in the RMAC with Western Colorado, will now finish their home stand with the 12-8 (8-5 RMAC) UCCS Mountain Lions in A2 Arena Saturday afternoon.

BLACK HILLS STATE STORYLINES:
• Black Hills State enters this game versus UCCS ranked tied for second in the RMAC at a 13-7 (9-4 RMAC) record. They are coming off of a huge 62-48 victory over CSU Pueblo, who was tied with them in the RMAC. During the game versus the ThunderWolves, the Yellow Jackets held the RMAC's leading scorer, Alisha Little, to two points in the first half and 14 overall, most of which came in the fourth quarter when the game was already decided.
• Little's 14 points was the lowest she'd scored since their second game of the season, when she had seven versus UT Tyler, the two points Little had in the first half was also the lowest in a half since she had zero in the second half versus UT Tyler as well. The 48 points BHSU allowed was the third lowest this season, and the lowest since they held Fort Lewis to 43 in early January,
• The crucial part of the game that helped Black Hills State was the defensive field goal percentage. The 34 percent from the field was the second lowest mark by the ThunderWolves in RMAC play and was BHSU's fourth lowest mark in the same time frame. It was the ninth time out of the ten games in 2025 that BHSU has held a team to under 30 percent from three and the eighth time since the new year that they held an opponent to under 40 percent from the field.
• Black Hills State is ranked third of four RMAC schools in D2CSC South Central Regional Media Poll, appearing for the 11th consecutive week as they dropped two spots to No. 9 on Monday morning. This marks their lowest rank since the week of November 6th, when they were ranked tied for 9th.
• Black Hills State had been picked to finish ninth in the RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, receiving 94 points in the vote among head coaches. They are currently tied for second in the conference standings after nine wins in 13 games to begin RMAC schedule.
• Through the first 20 games of the season BHSU is averaging 63.9 points, 38.7 rebounds, 13.0 assists, 6.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game, while shooting the ball 41.4 percent from the field, 28.8 percent from 3-point range, and 67.8 percent from the free throw line. Their opponents are averaging 58.4 points, 31.7 rebounds, 9.8 assists, 6.3 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game, while shooting the ball 38.2 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from 3-point range, and 76.4 percent from the free throw line.
• The Yellow Jackets currently rank fifth in NCAA Division II in fewest turnovers per game (12.2), seventh in fewest fouls per game (13.0), and 36th in rebound margin (7.0). In the win over South Dakota Mines, BHSU only had eight turnovers, which is the third time in five games they've had eight or less. They only fouled nine times, which tied for the second lowest mark of the year, and they won the rebounding battle 45-29, which is tied for the fifth largest margin this year.
• Leading four players in double figures scoring for Black Hills State is
Kalla Bertram who is one of the top scorers and rebounders in the conference, ranking 14th in points per game (13.6) and 10th in rebounds per game (7.1). Additionally, Bertram adds 1.5 steals per game and 2.3 assists per game. She has been efficient shooting the ball as she ranks eighth in the RMAC in field goal percentage, knocking down 102-of-240 shot attempts (42.5%), and has scored in double figures in 15 of the 20 games this year. She has notched three double doubles this season against Lubbock Christian (17 points, 11 rebounds), Chadron State (19 points, 11 rebounds), and CSU Pueblo (17 points, 10 rebounds). She has reached her season-high mark in steals on three different occasions and has recorded multiple steals in 14 games. Bertram is coming off her third career double-double versus CSU Pueblo, where she had 17 points, ten rebounds, and almost had a triple-double with a career high seven assists. She went 6-16 from the field, including 2-5 from deep, which were her first made threes since January 11th versus MSU Denver.

Haylee Weathersby, who is second on the team in scoring with 12.8 points and adds 6.2 rebounds per game. She currently ranks third in the RMAC in field goal percentage and 21st in the country, knocking down 101-of-189 (55.1%) shot attempts this year. She has reached double figures and has scored 12 or more points in 12 of 19 games this year in addition to grabbing five or more boards in 16 contests. She is coming off a quiet offensive night with only seven points but had one of her best defensive nights of the season, when she had the sole job of containing Little, and did so better than anyone in the RMAC this season.

Morgan Hammerbeck is another player to keep an eye on. She is averaging 11.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. She is shooting the ball 42.9 percent from the field, 35.5 percent on 3-pointers, and 78.7 percent of free throws. She currently ranks seventh in the RMAC in total 3-pointers made (38) and is sixth in 3-pointers per game (1.90). Hammerbeck has one double-double this season coming against South Dakota Mines (18 points, 12 rebounds), and is coming off her tenth double-digit game in the past 13 games, where she had 12 points and four rebounds versus CSU Pueblo.
• The lone freshman in the starting lineup for each of the first 20 games this year has been
Bradie Schlabs is averaging 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. She has scored in double figures in 14 games, including a season-high of 24 points versus CSU Pueblo. She has now had ten of her last 11 games with double-digits and seven of her last ten with 13 or more points. She has secured four or more boards on 17 occasions, including 15 of the last 16 games. Schlabs has dished out four or more assists in 14 games, nine of the last 13, and has tallied a steal in 18 of 20 games this year. She ranks fourth in the RMAC in assists (85), assists per game (4.3), and third in assist/turnover ratio (1.67), while also ranking 56th, 41st, and 60th nationally in NCAA Division II in the respective categories. Schlabs is coming off a career high 24-point performance against CSU Pueblo, where she added three rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
• Yellow Jacket alumna Rachel Erickson is in her first season as the head coach at Black Hills State, guiding BHSU to a 13-7 record thus far.
UCCS STORYLINES
• UCCS enters this game 12-8 (8-5 RMAC) and is tied for fourth in the RMAC and has won four of their last five. They are coming off a 15-point win over South Dakota Mines, where they outscored the Hardrockers 22-8 in the fourth quarter. They had a one-point lead on SD Mines heading into the fourth before that 22-8 run, which is almost the exact same story line from the BHSU-South Dakota Mines game.
• UCCS's Head Coach Misty Wilson is in the middle of her second season as head coach of the Mountain Lions. She has a career record of 35-16, which included a 23-win season last year. She landed them on the NCAA South Central Regional Rankings for the first time in eight years and led them to a share of the RMAC Title.
• Since the last time UCCS played the Yellow Jackets, the Mountain Lions have gone 8-4 and are averaging 69 points per game but are allowing over 60 points per game. They are shooting 41.4 percent from the field. The Mountain Lions do not lead the RMAC in any stats but are ranked second in turnover margin (2.7), free throw attempts per game (19.65), and blocks per game with 3.9.
• UCCS is led by Amyah Moore Allen, who is averaging 17.9 points per game, which is good enough for 30th in the country and fifth in the RMAC. She also leads the team in assists with 2.6 and steals with 2.2 per game. Moore Allen has made it to double-digits in all but two games this year, including 16 of the last 17, and made it 15 or more points in ten of the last 12 games. She has slowed down on assists with only two in the past four games but has had three or more steals in six of the last nine. She is coming off an 18-point performance versus South Dakota Mines, where she had four steals.
• Maison White is the only other player in double-figures for the Mountain Lions averaging 12.9 points per game, but is also averaging 11.2 rebounds per game, and is 13th in the country with 11 double-doubles. She is one of the best rebounders in the conference with 4.2 offensive rebounds per game (16th in the country), and 6.9 defensive rebounds per game (24th in the country). While ranking 11th in total rebounds. She is also ranked 18th in the country in field goal percentage, shooting 103-183 (56.3%). She has reached double-digit rebounds in all of the last eight games and reached double-digit points in five of those games. She has scored double digits it 13 games this season, while reaching double digit rebounds in 17 of the 20 games. She is coming off a 16-point, 13 rebound double-double versus South Dakota Mines.
