COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With five athletes earning All-RMAC honors over the past two days, the Black Hills State University men's and women's track & field teams posted a tie for seventh place with 23 points and an 11
th place finish with 6.5 points respectively at the 2025 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Highlighting the top athletes at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse for BHSU was
Braden Anderson, who secured First Team All-RMAC honors in the 800m run with a third place finish, the highest finish of any Yellow Jacket during the meet. Earning Second Team All-RMAC honors included
Chase Maher and
Erin Weibel in the pole vault,
Conor McGraw in the heptathlon, and
Trennan Pearson in the high jump.
HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
- Day one of the 2025 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships started with the men's weight throw where Ryan Baker notched a top-10 finish, posting a mark of 15.26m (50' 0.75") for tenth place. Also competing in the event was Anthony Rosenstrauch who recorded a 14th place finish with a throw of 14.66m (48' 1").
- With a new career-best mark of 4.77m (15' 7.75"), Chase Maher moved into fifth place on the Black Hills State all-time performance list in the pole vault, while also earning a fourth place finish and Second Team All-RMAC accolade. Additionally, Shane Karajanis earned a top-10 finish, clearing a career-best height of 4.47m (14' 7.75") for a ninth place finish, and McKalester Johns earned a 12th place finish as he cleared 4.32m (14' 2").
- The pair of Bridger Anderson and Jayden Curtis posted a 13th and 16th place finish respectively in the long jump, recording marks of 6.61m (21' 8") and 6.24m (20' 5.5").
- Curtis was the lone Yellow Jacket to compete in the 60m hurdles as he competed in the prelims on Friday afternoon, earning a 12th place finish with a career-best time of 8.59, which ranks fifth on the all-time performance list in program history.
- The lone BHSU athlete in the 60m dash, Jace Johnson, finished just outside of the top-10 with an 11th place finish and time of 6.94.
- Aidden O'Leary punched his ticket to Saturday's finals of the 400m dash as he recorded an eighth place finish in the prelims by clocking a time of 50.29. Also competing in the prelims of the event was Flynn Johnston who posted a 16th place finish with a time of 50.97.
- The distance medley relay team of Braik Hurm, Drew Lehman, Caden Strasser, and Jaxon Straus ran to a time of 10:29.21 for sixth place in the event.
- Day two of the 2025 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships began with the conclusion of the heptathlon, which saw Conor McGraw capture Second Team All-RMAC honors with a fifth place finish and totaling an NCAA provisional mark of 4,751 points. The point total also marked a new career-best in the event and moves him into third all-time in school history in the event. While he won the 60m hurdles in the event with a time of 8.61, he also set new career-best marks in the long jump (6.14m (20' 1.75")), shot put (12.95m (42' 6")), and high jump (1.81m (5' 11.25")).
- Matthew LoFaso was the lone Yellow Jacket competing in the shot put as he recorded a 14th place finish with a mark of 13.79m (45' 2.75").
- Finishing just outside of the top-10 in the mile was Straus who notched an 11th place finish and time of 4:27.90 in the event.
- On Saturday afternoon O'Leary ran to a time of 51.35 for an eighth place finish in the finals of the 400m dash.
- Securing a top-10 finish and leading the way for four Yellow Jackets in the triple jump was Casen Wilson, who posted a career-best mark of 12.98m (42' 7") for tenth place. Other BHSU athletes in the event included Curtis with a 12th place finish and career-best mark of 12.64m (41' 5.5"), Seth Wilson who was 13th with a career-best mark of 12.37m (40' 7"), and Jude Guevara who was 14th with a career-best mark of 12.25m (40' 2.25").
- Tying for sixth place in the high jump competition, Trennan Pearson earned Second Team All-RMAC honors as he cleared 1.84m (6' 0.25").
- Running to a third place finish and First Team All-RMAC honors in the 800m run was Braden Anderson as he clocked a time of 1:55.03.
- Rounding out this year's conference championships was the 4x400 relay team of O'Leary, Lehman, Johnston, and Anderson, who ran to a time of 3:22.84 for a seventh place finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
- Beginning the action on day one of the 2025 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships was the pentathlon, as the pair of Alivia Weathers and Alessandra Broussard posted a tenth and 11th place finish respectively. Weathers' point total of 2,812 set a new career-best mark in the event and ranks tenth in the all-time Yellow Jacket performance list, which also included setting a new career-best mark in the high jump (1.43m). Broussard also tallied a career-high of 2,769 points as she posted career-best marks in the 60m hurdles (9.40) and shot put (9.08m).
- Erin Weibel led the way for the Yellow Jackets in the pole vault, earning Second Team All-RMAC as she tied for fifth place by clearing a career-best height of 3.68m (12' 0.75") and moved into fifth on the BHSU all-time performance list. Other athletes competing for BHSU during the afternoon and earning top-10 finishes included Gretchen Adamski and Brekkan Lockhart who earned ninth and tenth place respectively by clearing 3.38m (11' 1") and 3.23m (10' 7"). Adamski's mark set a new career-best and moved her into tenth all-time on the Yellow Jacket performance list.
- Saraya Afrank was the only Yellow Jacket athlete competing in the 400m dash prelims, posting a time of 1:00.94 for a 14th place finish.
- Running to a time of 18:38.25 for 12th place in the 5,000m run was Evie Boyd.
- The distance medley relay team of Katelyn Krieger, Carlie DeBoer, Norah Entzi, and Sylvia Brown posted a season best time in the event as they clocked a time of 12:40.62 for eighth place.
- Reigning RMAC Field Athlete of the Week, Isabell Higgins, led the way for the Yellow Jackets in the weight throw, posting a mark of 14.98m (49 1.75") for ninth place. Additional BHSU athletes competing in the event were Christianna Wall who was 12th with a throw of 14.12m (46' 3.75") and Cassidy Goddard who was 16th with a throw of 12.29m (40' 3.75").
- Starting day two action at the 2025 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships was Sophie Louderback in the triple jump, posting a 16th place finish with a mark of 10.43m (34' 2.5").
- Higgins recorded her second top-10 finish of this weekend's championships on Saturday afternoon, notching a tenth place finish in the shot put with a throw of 12.19m (39' 11.75"). Other Yellow Jackets in the event included Wall who was 13th with a mark of 11.74m (38' 6") and Goddard who was 16th with a mark of 11.40m (37' 4.75").
- Kendall Tietjen notched a top-10 finish in the 800m run, finishing ninth place as she clocked a time of 2:19.81. Also competing in the event was Krieger who ran to a 16th place finish and time of 2:24.43.
- Closing out this year's conference championships was the 4x400 relay team of Afrank, Jillian Brennan, DeBoer, and Tietjen who ran to a seventh place finish and time of 4:01.71 that was a season-best and ranks fifth in school history.
