IRVING, Texas – A part of a record setting 2,536 student-athletes from 341 schools, the Black Hills State University football team saw eight recognized and inducted into the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. Representing the Yellow Jackets are
Nikolas Arnold,
Luke Duby,
Elijah Moscinski,
John Noordsy,
Cameron Reiman,
Anthony Rosenstrauch,
Aaron Thiele, and
Derek Webster. This year marks the first time in program history that BHSU has had multiple student-athletes receive the accolade as they join the four prior recipients of Ryder Blair (2024), Austin Goddard (2019), Phydell Paris (2018), and Josh Wood (2010), who have earned the award since its inception in 2007.

Arnold appeared in all 11 games for the Black Hills State defensive line in 2024, totaling 11.0 tackles, 5.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks, two quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick. During his time in Spearfish, he played in 46 career games, making 77.0 total tackles, 17.0 tackles-for-loss, 7.0 sacks, two blocked kicks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. In 2022 he recorded a career-high of six tackles in a road win at Chadron State. While pursuing a degree in strategic leadership, he also received a 2023 RMAC Academic Honor Roll selection.

In his first season at Black Hills State, Duby received Honorable Mention All-RMAC recognition in 2024. He started all 11 games during the year as he completed 214-of-360 pass attempts for 2,238 yards, 15 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. In four games he passed for 250 or more yards, including a career-high of 320 against South Dakota Mines, as the Yellow Jackets brought home the Homestake Trophy. Additionally, he passed for two or more touchdowns in five games, including a career-high of three against Adams State in the final home contest of the year. In only two games during the season he threw multiple interceptions and in five games he did not throw a pick. Duby led a Yellow Jacket offense that ranked first in the RMAC and fourth in NCAA Division II in red zone efficiency as they scored on 91.7 percent of their possessions, which included 33 touchdowns compared to only four field goals. Individually he ranked among the league leaders in several categories, ranking second in the RMAC and 21st nationally with 19.45 completions per game, second in the conference and 43rd nationally with 203.5 passing yards per game, third in the league and 36th nationally in total passing yards, and third in the RMAC and 59th nationally with 210.8 yards of total offense per game. The redshirt-junior will complete his bachelor's degree in strategic leadership this year and then is set to return for one final season with the Yellow Jackets next fall.

Moscinski started and appeared in ten games on the offensive line for the Yellow Jackets in 2024, providing protection up front for an offense that averaged 118.5 rushing yards, 219 passing yards, and 337.5 yards of total offense. The BHSU offensive line allowed only 18.0 sacks total this past year, ranking second in the RMAC with an average of just 1.64 sacks allowed per game, which included four games where they did not surrender a sack. On five occasions the Yellow Jackets ran for more than 100 yards, and three times reached 200 yards on the ground. Through the air the Green & Gold passed for 200 yards or more five times and twice recorded 300 or more yards through the air attack. During his two seasons in Spearfish, he started and appeared in a total of 19 games on the offensive line. The 2024 RMAC Academic Honor Roll and CSC Academic All-District® recipient will graduate from Black Hills State with an MBA.

In 2024 Noordsy appeared in all 11 games in a very balanced receiving core, hauling in nine receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 9.22 yards per reception and posted a long of 25 yards. His single-game best 31 receiving yards as the Yellow Jackets brought home the Homestake Trophy against South Dakota Mines was one of three multi-reception games this year for the senior. He played in all 33 games over the course of the last three seasons and played in a total of 41 games during his Yellow Jacket career. He totaled 26 receptions, 295 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. He caught a touchdown pass in each of the last three years and posted a career-best 141 receiving yards during the 2023 campaign. He was a 2-time RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient in 2023 and 2024 as he pursued a degree in business administration.

Reiman appeared in all 11 games and made two starts on the offensive line, helping provide protection up front for an offense that averaged 118.5 rushing yards, 219 passing yards, and 337.5 yards of total offense. The offensive line allowed only 18.0 sacks in 11 games, ranking second in the RMAC with an average of just 1.64 sacks allowed per game, which included four games where they did not surrender a sack. On five occasions the Yellow Jackets ran for more than 100 yards, and three times reached 200 yards on the ground. Through the air BHSU passed for 200 yards or more five times and twice recorded 300 or more yards through the air attack. He appeared in all 33 games for the Green & Gold over the past three seasons and totaled 37 appearances over his four years in Spearfish. He received First Team Academic All-RMAC honors in 2023 and 2024, RMAC Academic Honor Roll honors in 2021, 2022, and 2024, and he received his first career CSC Academic All-District® selection this past fall as he completed his MBA.

Rosenstrauch appeared in all 11 games during the season as he was the long snapper for the special team's unit that went 32-of-34 on extra point attempts, 7-of-14 on field goal attempts, and 64 punts that averaged 39.2 yards per punt. The field goal unit tacked on two of the longest field goals in program history this season as they connected from 55 and 58 yards out this year, and the punt unit pinned 16 inside the 20-yard line and recorded nine punts of 50 or more yards. During his career he appeared in 41 games during his time in Spearfish. Rosenstrauch graduated with a degree in biology and has earned accolades such as Honorable Mention All-RMAC (2024), First Team Academic All-RMAC (2022), RMAC Academic Honor Roll (2023 & 2024), and CSC Academic All-District® (2022 & 2024).

Thiele was a center piece for the Black Hills State defense for four seasons, starting in 38 consecutive games to close his career before a season-ending injury this past fall. During his senior season he tallied 12.0 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sack, one quarterback hurry, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. He capped his time in Spearfish, with 212.0 total tackles, 20.5 tackles-for-loss, 3.5 sacks, seven pass break-ups, one interception, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. On four occasions he recorded double digit tackles in a game, posting a career-high 14 tackles in a battle of the Black Hills Brawl against South Dakota Mines in 2021. During his time as a Yellow Jacket, he earned accolades such as Second Team All-RMAC (2022), Honorable Mention All-RMAC (2023), First Team Academic All-RMAC (2021 & 2022), RMAC Academic Honor Roll (2023 & 2024), CSC Academic All-District® (2022), and was a William V. Campbell Trophy Semifinalist in 2024 as he completed his degree in strategic leadership.

Webster appeared in all 11 games this past season for Black Hills State, recording 62 punts for 2,458 yards and an average of 39.6 yards per punt. His long on the year was a 62 yard punt at home against Western Colorado. Over the course of his 3-year career in the Green & Gold, he appeared in 33 games as he punted the ball 154 times for 6,283 total yards and an average of 40.8 yards per punt. His career-long was a 71 yard boot against No. 1 Colorado School of Mines in 2023. During his time in Spearfish, he received accolades such as Second Team All-RMAC (2023) and Honorable Mention All-RMAC (2022) while he pursued his degree in physical education

Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be a senior player graduating this spring/summer who completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2024; or
- Be a graduated player or grad transfer who has already earned a bachelor's degree and competed in the 2024 season (even if the player has remaining eligibility and may return to play next season).
And must have:
- Attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 (4.0 scale); and
- Been starters or contributors throughout the 2024 season.
