Black Hills State University Athletics

2022-23: Competed in four meets for the Yellow Jackets during the 2022-23 indoor season… marked three personal best benchmarks in the 3000m, 5000m, and one-mile runs: he placed in the top five at the David Little Alumni Mile 3000m (9:22.43), Placed eighth in the one-mile run at the CSC Don Holst Open (4:42.76), and landed a personal best at the SDSU Indoor Classic’s 5000m run (16:10.35).

Before BHSU: Was a cross country and track and field athlete at Tongue River H.S... helped lead his team to a State Title in his freshman year, ran a 10:28, 3200m... was a regional champion in the 3200m, 1600m, 800m, and 4x800m in his junior season, which helped his team secure a regional championship... broke the school record in the 4x800m run (8:25), broke school and regional record in 1600m (4:31) and was one again a track regional champion in the 1600m and 4x800m, placed third at the State meet in the 1600m and 800m while securing first in the 4x800m to help his team reach another State Championship in his senior season... was named to All-Conference in 2019 and All-State in 2022... graduated from Tongue River with a 3.8 GPA... son of Marta Ostler.
