2024-25 (Sophomore): Kalanek played in seven of the eight tournaments and 15 rounds this year for the Yellow Jackets…Her per round average for the year was 87.6…She had two top 20 finishes with her best finish being a 15th place finish in the Marauder’s Tournament…She had an 18th place finish in the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational, where she shot a career-low 36-hole score of 164 (+20), with a 79 (+7) in round two of the tournament, which was her 18-hole season-low round…She also shot a 168 (+24) in the Swan Memorial, where she had two rounds of 84…She finished 43rd in the RMAC Championships with a 54-hole score of 261 (+45) with two rounds in the 80s.

2023-24 (Freshman): Kalanek played in seven tournaments and had a 87.9 per round scoring average…She started her college career off by breaking the BHSU 18-hole record in her first round of the season…She shot a 73 (+1) at the Swan Memorial…She shot a 243 (+27) in the 54-hole tournament and broke the BHSU 54-hole record in the process…Her best finish of the year came at the Hardrocker Spring Invite when she finished in 16th place after shooting a 177 (+35)…She finished 47th at the RMAC Championships after shooting a 266 (+50).

Prep: Kalanek attended Legacy High School in Bismarck, North Dakota where she spent all four years as a member of the women's varsity golf team…By the end of her senior season, she racked up two All-State selections and was a three-time All-Conference/All-Regional selection…Kalanek served as a team captain during her freshman, sophomore, and senior seasons and was named an individual state tournament qualifier all four years, with her freshman qualification marking the first in LHS history…During her first season at Legacy, she averaged a stroke count of 90…During her latter three seasons, her average stroke count dropped to 80 by her senior year…In Kalanek's senior campaign, she was a Western Dakota Association regional medalist, where she recorded the second lowest score in WDA regionals history (and lowest score in LHS history) with a score of 72…Ava currently ranks 192nd in her class with a 3.5 GPA and plans to study Business Management once she arrives on BHSU campus in the fall…Kalanek is the daughter of Karla and William Kalanek and the sister of Peyton Kalanek…Her mother, Karla, played tennis at MSU Moorhead.
