Biography

Branscum joins the Yellow Jackets as a sophomore, arriving after spending one year at RMAC foe Regis. For the Rangers she appeared in 27 games while making seven starts, averaging 25.3 minutes, 6.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting the ball 44.8 percent from the field. She scored in double figures five times during the season, including posting a career-high of 13 points twice, knocking down 4-of-6 from the field and 2-of-3 from 3-point range against Colorado Mesa, and going 5-of-6 from the field and 2-of-2 from deep against Adams State. A threat from beyond the arc, she connected on two or more 3-pointers in eight games, twice making a career-best of three against Point Loma and New Mexico Highlands. On the glass she grabbed double digit rebounds three times, recording a career-high of 13 against Colorado Christian. She also dished out a career-best five assists in the match-up with the Cougars. As a prep standout at Mountain View High School for head coach Patrick Huddleston, she was a 4-time all-conference selection and a 2-time all-state selection. Her final three seasons playing for the Mountain Lions she averaged double figures each year with more than 17.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game each campaign. As a senior she was named first team all-conference and CHSAA Class 5A Second Team All-State while she led the team to the 2024 CHSAA Class 5A Sweet 16, averaging 17.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.0 block per game. Her first all-state and first team all-conference selections came as a junior in 2023 as she was named CHSAA Class 5A Honorable Mention All-State after averaging 20.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. As a junior she ranked sixth in Class 5A in points and was ninth with ten double-doubles. Outside of prep basketball she played for the Colorado Basketball Club. Addison is the daughter of Blain and Erica Branscum, and has one sibling, Brevan.
