Black Hills State University Athletics

Dick Roach graduated Black Hills State in the class of 1958 and pursued a career in coaching collegiate and professional football.  He coached with the Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New England Patriots.  He also coached with the Michigan Panthers in the USFL and Montreal Alouettes in the CFL.  Roach also coached at Washington State, Fresno State, Wyoming, Oregon State and Montana State.  He was a defensive assistant coach with the Buffalo Bills and made four Super Bowl appearances with them.
