Griggs is in his first year as a graduate assistant at BHSU in 2019.

He started his coachin career coaching tight ends and fullbacks at Western Colorado, coaching a tight end to All-Conference honors.

Griggs played wide receiver at Western Colorado from 2013-2018. At the end of his senior year, Grigs was awarded the 2017 Mountaineer of the Year Award, which is given to the most valuable senior on the football team.

Griggs was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado. He graduated from Fruita Monument High School where he was a four-sport athlete.
