Biography

2011: Nielsen played in nine games during his sophomore season at Black Hills State. Nielson carried the ball 96 times for a total of 320 yards and six touchdowns. Nielsen also pulled down seven catches for a total of 122 yards and one touchdown through the air.

2010: Nielsen led the team in rushing during his freshman season, running for 571 yards and four touchdowns on 151 attempts. Nielsen averaged 3.8 yards per carry on the season and also reeled in 10 catches for 27 total yards.

2009: Nielsen redshirted for the Yellow Jackets.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Nielsen graduated from Glenrock High School in 2009 where he was a three sport athlete earning varsity letters in football (4), basketball (3) and track and field (3). Nielsen was also named all-state in football and track and field. Drew is the son of Fred and Phyllis Nielsen of Glenrock, Wyo.
